When it comes to Mustangs, rare gems like this are hard to find and even harder to convince someone to part with.

At the time it was found by Mustang collector Bruce Schreiner the 1970 Boss 429 still had all of its original equipment right down to its Goodyear tires with only 13,000 miles on the odometer, as noted in a Mustang and Fords report.

Kept in a garage for 41 years, the Mustang even had all of the original documentation when Schreiner bought it in 2012, including the Ford Motor Company stickers.

Now, the ’70 Boss spends its days soaking up the spotlight at events like the recent Mustang 50th Celebration held at Charlotte Motor Speedway where it was showcased in the “Rare Finds Display.”

I think that’s a fitting tribute for a gem like this, which never again should be confined to a garage.
