2011 Ford Mustang 50 Review

If you're in the market for a new, 2011 Ford Mustang vehicle, you'll be well served to read up on several different review sites in order to determine which of the various types of Mustang is best designed to meet your needs. The 2011 Ford Mustang 5.0 GT provides a smooth ride with excellent torque, horsepower and great MPG rating. However, the 2011 Ford Mustang V6 is also a powerful car with a number of different attractive qualities too. Read on for a brief comparison of the two.

2011 Ford Mustang V6

The 2011 Ford Mustang V6 is a powerful car that has a sleekly designed engine. Although the engine itself doesn't feature direct injection, any sort of supercharged or turbocharged capabilities, it is still capable of incredible power. It has been rated to 305 horsepower in tests. Additionally, the engine is made more efficient and the car faster by reducing the weight of the internal systems; all of the engine parts are made from aluminum in the new 2011 Ford mustang V6. This helps the vehicle to achieve not only maximum power on a V6 engine, but also to maintain the enviable mileage rating of 30 miles per gallon for an automatic transmission. Finally, there are dual independent cams on each side of the engine that operate on a technological system that is quite advanced, giving the engine the best flexibility and power of any V6 that Ford has produced to date.

2011 Ford Mustang 5.0 GT

The 2011 Ford Mustang 5.0 GT is an exceedingly powerful car. Rated to 412 horsepower and with 390 foot-pounds of torque, this vehicle outshines the V6 vehicle above in terms of overall power. However, due to the fact that it has a larger, 5 liter engine, this car receives lower mileage ratings; 25 miles in the highway, 17 miles per gallon in the city. Like the Ford Mustang V6, it also achieves these impressive numbers without any direct injection, supercharger or turbocharger capabilities. Although it's not entirely made out of aluminum, like the engine in the V6, the 5.0 GT engine has many aluminum parts that are designed with anti friction capabilities to make it operate as smoothly as possible. Finally, the 5.0 GT has electrical power to assist with the steering capabilities for added comfort and ease of handling.

Comparing

The MSRP for the 5.0 GT is considerably higher than that of the V6, as you pay for the additional power. Between that difference and the difference in gas mileage, the V6 is a better car for people who operate on a somewhat limited budget. However, for the truly powerful option of the two, it's best to go with the 2011 Ford Mustang 5.0 GT.

Speak with a Ford dealer in your area for additional advice or selection options in choosing between the 2011 Ford Mustang 5.0 GT and the 2011 Ford Mustang V6. Mechanics can also be helpful.

Gregory Victor Valentine (Thu, 21 Feb 2013 09:55:17 -0800): I'm new to the muscle car scene and recently bought a 2012 V6 premium. What made me purchase this car was my need for a new car and my son Anthony, who is very well versed with Ford and the Mustang. I asked him which Stang would he get and he pointed to the V6 Premium with Pony Package, manual trans, and leather, plus the gas mileage and cost. Thanks Anthony, great advice.
