"Sleeper" Boss 302 Packs Over 1000 Horsepower

The Boss 302 is not a sleeper. Anything that comes in bright yellow paint and 444hp cannot be called that. Though in this case it's tempting. While it may be easy to assume that this Boss is fast, it's probably faster than you think.

How much power would be surprising? 600 horsepower? 800? Aim higher. Justin's Performance Center has tuned this thing to put down over 1200 horsepower at the wheels. They've even got the dyno video to prove it.

Michael Fournier (Tue, 05 Feb 2013 07:42:38 -0800): A little more info would be nice. What did you do to get that kind of power it looks like the stock manifold but I think it would take more then just a big turbo to get that much HP details please.
Joe Granatelli (Tue, 05 Feb 2013 15:01:34 -0800): I think the video shows it can be done - which it did. So great job there. Very nice looking system.
Rupp Matthew (Wed, 06 Feb 2013 08:18:17 -0800): 1217.5 rwhp gooooooooooowwwl.
Ernesto Ruesta (Wed, 06 Feb 2013 08:53:02 -0800): that engine have to be fully build , stock internals can hold that big turbo
Chris Gambardella (Wed, 06 Feb 2013 10:27:04 -0800): Like I said, the power is impressive. But the car can't put it to the ground and use it. Unless the car was purpose built to apply that power, its a waste. It is a good example of the potential of the coyote motor. I have seem some amazing power out of them. But other than that, its just proof of concept. The turbo lag alone would make it unusable on the road course. It would come on too suddenly. And the car is obviously not set up for drag racing. So again, unusable but impressive. Why do folks climb mount Everest?
Bill Gasiorowski (Wed, 06 Feb 2013 10:47:28 -0800): What's the point in spending that much money when first of all you can't use it, and second it would never launch just use up tires? Too much money and no brains!
Micheal Crites (Wed, 06 Feb 2013 16:43:48 -0800): NO stock internals would never hold up to that HP. Lets see it hold up to more than a split second of throttle!!
Clark Rice (Wed, 06 Feb 2013 22:41:55 -0800): So, whats the E .T. if it ha the 1000+ HP? Reason they didn't do that test is that it would be embarrassing.........
James Joyce (Thu, 07 Feb 2013 08:40:53 -0800): the roof tiles flying around was epic. badass ride
Emmanuel Jimenez (Tue, 19 Feb 2013 04:17:41 -0800): Which turbo kit its that?
Mark Blackowski (Fri, 01 Mar 2013 08:39:29 -0800): Just wondering , did you change the Trans and if not...good luck and be careful.
