Vaughn Gittin Jr. earned his second straight victory of the 2012 Formula Drift season with a win in front of a sold out crowd at Evergreen Speedway in Monroe, WA this past weekend. After qualifying in the top spot Gittin made his way to the finals by taking out Miro Ovcharik, Michael Essa and Matt Powers. In the final round he faced a tough battle with Ryan Tuerck, but Gittin managed to prevail and take the win. The first place finish puts him at the top of the Formula Drift Pro Championship points standing for the first time this year with just two more events to go.

“I am just so pumped right now. We have been working so hard and have overcome the minor issues we had earlier this year and I owe this to my team and all my partners,” said Vaughn Gittin, Jr. after the event. “It just feels so good to re-focus and drive my heart out and stand on top of the podium!”
