2016 Shelby GT350 Allocations Leaking Out, Options Priced

2016 Ford Mustang Shelby GT350R (11)

Ford has officially come out and said that the 2015 Shelby GT350 and GT350R will be extremely limited production cars: the GT350 just having 100 examples made, and the GT350R only having 37 copies. But what about 2016? We’re starting to learn more about that.

According to our sister site, Ford Truck Enthusiasts, some dealerships are learning how many 2016 Shelby GT350 and GT350R cars they’re going to be allocated. They don’t have specifics yet on ordering or how much the darn car will cost, but they are learning how many they are going to get to better manage customer expectations.

On the pricing and options front, our friends at Torque News are reporting that some of the options for the Shelby GT350 and GT350R have been leaked.

On the GT350, there is a Tech Package and a Track Package. They cannot be ordered together.

The Tech Package adds MagneRide magnetorheological ride control dampers, navigation with Sync 3, dual zone climate control, and heated and air conditioned leather seats.

The Track Package also has the MagneRide magnetorheological ride control dampers, selectable drive modes, and enhanced cooling for the transmission, differential, and engine.

Standalone options include navigation for $795, a painted black roof for $695, $475 for the stripes, and $495 for the Triple Yellow Paint.

On the Shelby GT350R, expect to pay an additional $3,500 to get the R treatment, which means basically stripping the car and adding the cool aero and carbon fiber bits. The standalone options are available on the GT350R, as well as a Touring Package for $3,000. Most likely that adds back things like air conditioning, which someone might want if the car isn’t just a track rat.

We still don’t have MSRP for any of the cars yet, but with them being limited in production, we doubt many dealerships will sell them just for MSRP.
