Addiction Motorsports Rockets 2015 Mustang Into the 9s
Many worried about the 2015 Mustang’s independent rear axle, specifically how well it would attack the drag strip. Then some brave owners came out with their own S550s and showed these doubters that it’s really nothing to worry about. Now, we have tuning shops bringing out some monster Mustangs, and Addiction Motorsports is currently the fastest stock engine with twin turbos. For now, at least.
The E85 fed S550 Mustang by Addiction Motorsports is force fed with a pair of 62/66 Precision Turbos with wastegates and a pair of Turbosmart blow-off valves. With three Walboro 465 fuel pumps, Fore Innovations fuel pressure regulator, and 1000cc/min injectors feeding the all stock block and internals Coyote 5.0-liter to 820-horsepower and 720-pound feet of torque. The exhaust is taken care of by a custom set of turbo headers with Bassani 3-inch pipes and mufflers. To top it off, it uses the S550 factory 6R80 but with a set of improved clutches and billet intermediate shaft with a 3400-RPM Stall Circle D 3B converter built by Chino Hills Tranmission. It feeds that power to the stock IRS Mustang differential.
