American Muscle Scoops the Mustang Before it’s Good Morning America Debut

The guys over at American Muscle got an early look at the new Mustang before the world saw it on Good Morning America. What’s really interesting is that this model is the 2.3-liter Eco-boosted Mustang with the performance package. They’re not technically calling it the SVO yet… But that’s what it is.

The car makes 305 horsepower, so about as much as the V6 model Mustang. I think the distinction between the two models will be interesting in the future. The ecoboost has more torque than the 3.7-liter V6 and will in all likelihood get better gas mileage. Though, I’m also willing to bet that the delivery won’t be as smooth as the V6. It’ll likely be more expensive. So there’s that. The GT will still have the Coyote 5.0 and 420 horses, so no surprises there.
