Fox Body Mustang With Grille-Mounted Turbo Blasts the Strip!
All Ford Mustang fans have a soft spot in their heart for the good ‘ole Fox Body. It may not be aesthetically pretty, or even aerodynamic, but there’s something about its quirky and boxy looks that give it a “let’s take care of business” attitude.
If there’s ever been a Mustang that you could describe that way, it’s this 1,400-horsepower Fox Body. With a grille-mounted 88-mm snail turbo and a huge 427 LSX small block, it manages to make cry babies of most of the competition it faces at the drag strip.
On this awesome video by the 1320video guys, we see the Mustang facing various opponents of different performance brackets, while managing to smoke almost every single one of them out. One of the quarter-mile runs is timed at 9.062 seconds at 121.11 mph, which is certainly one hell of a run. Then again, 1,400 horsepower is simply an ungodly amount of ponies.
Don’t you agree?
