There’s no shortage of awesome restomodded Mustangs in the world. Heck, it seems like everyone and their father has created at least one or two wonderfully updated Mustangs. However, most of those aren’t done with the precision that this build comes with.

This Mustang was created by Larry “Jake” Jacobs. He’s the owner of a radiator shop out in Utah and has some pretty impressive builds. But it’s his 1965 Mustang Fastback that takes center stage right now.

For the longest time, Jake wanted to build his very own Mustang, and with the help of a friend, he got the chance with this one. Determined not only to create a straight line drag racer, Jake went about building something that would not only go fast, but also fly through canyons and twisty roads.

Here’s the run down on the parts list…

  • 1965 Mustang Fastback
  • Dearborn, Michigan, assembly plant
  • DuPont Two-Stage Urethane in Fresco Green with white Le Mans stripes
  • 392W stroker small-block built by Pro-Stock Motors
  • Tremec T56 six-speed transmission
  • Currie 9-Inch Traction-Lok with 3.50:1 gears
  • Wilwood disc brakes
  • Budnik gasser wheels
  • Nitto 225-17 front, Nitto 247-17 rear
  • Coilover shocks front, leafs with airbags rear
  • Custom black leather interior by Nigel Cuttler
  • Acura Integra bucket seats in black leather
  • Custom Auto Meter instrumentation
  • Pioneer entertain/ navigation system
  • Hot rod air climate control
  • Custom-fabricated center console
  • Biller Specialties steering wheel and ididit column

While there are a few eccentricities that I personally wouldn’t have done to the car, such as the Integra bucket seats, door handles, or the Pep Boys steering wheel, the car looks properly mean. I have no doubt that this Mustang would kick the doors in of most challengers.
