‘$h*t Mustang Owners Say’ Is Some Seriously Funny $h*t
We all know that one guy who’s got a Mustang and read somewhere that a cold air intake and straight pipe exhaust will give his V6 SN95 another 48 horsepower. That may be a bit extreme, but the guys at Muscle Vs Tuner know that over zealous and poorly informed Mustang owners do lurk among the car community.
Tongue-in-cheek aside, this NSFW video is both funny and actually impressive, all at the same time. The best part has to be all the well-placed Camaro-owner zings and jabs. It’s almost like watching a chat room come to life.
The featured car, however, is nothing to joke about, and definitely something to drool over. Paxton supercharged, and a short throw dipstick (ya know, for weight reduction) power this 2011 Mustang GT 5.0 to the tune of 850 horses. And oh what a sound it makes!
So for the rest of you with thick skin: what’s the most ill-informed thing you’ve been told by another enthusiast? All the time I hear that a filter and axle-back exhaust will make some big double-digit increase in horsepower. Until I see a dyno sheet, though, I’ll probably remain skeptical.
