It’s not surprising to see a ’60s Mustang piggy-backing a trailer these days. Those cars are forever pieces of American history, so whether they are on their way to a car meet, or to the shop, or to the racetrack, handling them with care isn’t a bad idea. Old cars are fragile… but not as fragile as a Mustang made out of LEGOs.

Legoland Florida has partnered up with Southern Ford Dealers and the Indianapolis Motor Speedway and is set to debut a real-life 1:1 replica of a 1964.5 Ford Mustang made out of LEGOs. The car is meant to help celebrate the Mustang Club of America’s 40th Anniversary. And yes, it will be on a trailer.

“We’re delighted to show off our version of an American classic during MCA’s 40th anniversary celebration,” said Chloé Boehm, public relations executive at Legoland Florida Resort. “We can’t think of a more perfect place to reintroduce the car that redefined cool in a fun, creative way.”

The car, which was/is being built at the Lego headquarters in Connecticut, will make its first stop in Indy on September 1, but after the celebration, it’s going to head out on the road for a country-wide tour before ending up in Florida at the Ford Driving School attraction at Legoland.
