Matt Farah Tackles the COBB Tuning Stage 3 EcoBoost Mustang

The new Ford Mustang is a brilliant design. It takes the pony car to new heights, and drops the muscle car scheme for what can truly be described as a sports car. The 5.0-liter GT and the new GT350 twins are the pinnacle of that engineering, however, the EcoBoost is one of the best versions of the Mustang you can possibly buy right now.

With low down torque, a lighter curb weight, and better handling than even the GT, it’s the perfect platform for tuners and modders to build truly ridiculous custom Mustangs. Chief among those tuners are the folks over at COBB Tuning. In one of the latest videos from The Smoking Tire, Matt Farah takes COBB’s Stage 3 EcoBoost Mustang on the track and finds out it’s quite the potent machine.

The COBB Tuning EcoBoost Mustang has an upgraded intercooler, intake, turbo-back exhaust, Stage 3 tune, and makes around 300 wheel horsepower and 400 lb-ft of torque. Not bad for a turbocharged four-cylinder Mustang.
