Mustang Club of America to Celebrate 40th Anniversary

The Mustang Club of America is revving up for a grand anniversary of its own, after putting on a host of 50th anniversary events for the Ford Pony Car in 2015.

September 1 – 4, the organization will celebrate its own major milestone at Indianapolis Motor Speedway, one that marks 40 years of devotion to all things Mustang, as highlighted in an AutoWeek report. The lineup of events includes track opportunities, ride-and-drives, and a Mustang Parade that’s being pitched as one of the largest ever.

Given the number of people expected to attend the event, it certainly seems possible that the organizers could reach that goal. Either way, with more than 2,000 cars expected to attend, it will certainly be a far cry from the very first Mustang Club of America gathering four decades ago, when there were only 13 cars in attendance.
