Mustang Production Finally Begins – Get Your Orders Ready
— by Jonathon Klein
Good news, everyone. The new Ford Mustang has officially started production. Ford announced today that the new 2015 Mustang had officially began production at the company’s Flat Rock Assembly Plant, and would be built alongside the global platform as well as the domestic one.
That means the RHD and LHD will be made right next to each other. I wonder if that is going to be confusing to the guys who need to drive them out of the plant?
Being that this is a brand-new vehicle, and almost nothing remained from the last-generation Mustang, the plant had to undergo a massive overhaul to get it ready for the new Mustang’s production to start. There’s really not much to this story, since we’ve already known that production was supposed to start soon … it’s just official at this point. Now, if we could only get some more information on the GT350, that would be wonderful.
