If you’ve ever questioned the strength of the 4V 4.6L engine Ford dropped into the 2004 Mustang Cobra Convertible, watch this video and get educated. What we have here is the drop-top version of the Mystichrome Terminator Mustang. It’s a drag special with a pair of 67-mm Precision turbos, some drag radials, and a TH400 automatic transmission. The car puts down almost 1,100 horsepower, but that’s not the amazing part. The mind-blowing fact about this build is that its entire long block is bone stock. Not one modification.

Oh, the whole machine is still road legal, to boot.

Press that play button to watch this incredible machine make a few passes down the drag strip against a 1,200-horsepower Fox body. The best run of the night comes in at the low 9s – and that’s in hot weather and on a track that’s nearly a mile high. With some cooler temps and a lower elevation, this machine should break into the 8s with ease.

Get ready for a hellacious party of fancy paint, turbo whistle, and V8 wail all wrapped up in an open-air package. I think the phrase you’re looking for is “Hell yeah.”
