SavageGeese is back to tell us ALL about the Ford Shelby GT350R Mustang. Be prepared to sit down through 37-plus minutes of him talking about this notable pony. It is a lot of tech talk, indeed, but for those short on time, I have provided you with the Cliff Notes below.

The advantages of the new GT350R?

It looks amazing. The engineered aerodynamics are not simply for show, but rather for function. Air ducts enable cooling of the transmission, Brembo brakes, and oil systems. Steering is planted and track-focused, with very neutral handling.

The in-depth, in-dash engine information matrix supplies you, the driver, with all you need to know about how your engine is functioning in real time. Also, a very forward-thinking user interface puts all the controls you want at your fingertips.

Awesome carbon fiber rims save weight, but the downside is they are insanely expensive.

No other Mustang comes close to the GT350R’s awesome manual transmission. It’s direct and seamless, and better than most competitors.

Power from the 5.2L V8 is ample, and pumps out 526 hp and 429 lb ft. of torque while making 0-60 mph in 4.3 seconds.

It’s loud and growls like a muscle car should. And it handles like a boss. “This car is f**ing insane. For the street, it is total overkill. I cannot believe it,” says SavageGeese. (Yes, there’s some NSFW language.)

The disadvantages of the GT350R?

It could have been made lighter by adding additional aluminum and carbon fiber components.

The rims are $4,000 a piece. You’ll want to hang yourself if you damage them.

The tires are amazingly sticky and performance-oriented, but they will require replacing every 2,000 miles or so, and come in at $545 for each rear wheel and $454 for each front wheel. So don’t look to this pony as your everyday vehicle. Or invest in longer-lasting tires.

The GT350R get 11.8 mpg. But seriously, who cares? You are not buying this car for fuel efficiency.

The body panels don’t fit flush together and the interior looks cheap. The overall construction of the car, up-close, looks like it lacks attention to detail.

Final verdict?

The GT350R is amazeballs. Go America!
