Stolen 1967 Mustang Dragster Found Unharmed

Great news, folks.

That $100k ‘67 Mustang Fastback that was stolen in broad daylight in Northern California last week has been found. Yup – and there’s been no damage done to the prize-winning dragster.

The Mustang, owned by 69-year-old, Mike Chadwick, was found after Chadwick’s F-250 pick-up used to haul the car’s trailer was discovered in an abandoned industrial area by an Oakland police officer, according to a San Jose Mercury News report.

The trailer with the Mustang finally turned up in a large yard in the city. Law enforcement officials said it appears that someone tried to paint the 24-foot trailer in order to hide it from authorities.

While no arrests have been made, we’re sure that Chadwick is just happy to get his dragster back.

“He kept calling us every few minutes saying, ‘Anything else? Anything else? ‘Anything new?’,” a police officer told the Mercury News about the Mustang’s owner. “He knew we were posted up just waiting there, it was a matter of making sure that the car was there, because we knew the trailer was there.”

Hey, can you blame him?
