Supercharged Mustang Battles Viper

You knew it wouldn’t be long before someone decided that the new Mustang was in need of being supercharged, whether it really needs it or not. In the video below, a VPM Gen II supercharger gets crammed under the hood of a new mustang GT. Judging by the results of the work done by Lund Racing, this 650-horsepower kit sure does take care of business.

But what happens if you find yourself on a street next to a Dodge Viper? Well for science, one must conduct a test.

The V10 bellow of the Viper provides most of the soundtrack to this one, but the supercharged Mustang stays in the game well into triple-digit speeds. Naturally, the pixelated driver of the Mustang (a side effect of tomfoolery) must be quite pleased to be in the same stomping grounds as the Mopar snake. 1/4 mile test? Nah, not this time, just some real-world go.

Prices for the VMP Supercharger range from $6,000 to $8,000, depending on needs, and there’s even E85 capability for the guys who like to have fun with the corn stuff.
