Sources Indicate This is How the New Mustang Will Look After it Gets a Facelift
Even though it seems as though the S550 is freshly upon us, we are already looking at images of the 2018 mid-cycle refresh. The facelift comes as a bit of a surprise to us because Ford had a list of announcements at the North American International Auto Show, but the Mustang was not included.
However, we now have seen a sneak peek that shows us some subtle changes for the 2018 Mustang. Most of the changes are from the front end, as we’ve discovered via Mustang6G, but treatments from the back-end seem to remain almost unchanged aside from a small spoiler alteration.
Backed up by info from CarScoops, the lower front end treatment includes a wider grille that integrates with the side fog lights in a slightly smoother way. New, more narrow intakes appear below the fog/driving lights on the far outside portions of the bumper as well.
Headlights also change slightly with amber reflectors sitting below the headlight, rather than behind. It adds an elongated look to the front end, almost reminiscent of the Jaguar XKR.
