Drifter Vaughn Gittin Jr. might compete behind the wheel of his ’11 Mustang, but he’s always loved the look of the ’69 Pony. And after a meeting a SEMA back in 2009, he decided to build his dream car with Team Need For Speed. The result is the monster above, and Gittin Jr. says its a perfect marriage between classic American muscle and Japanese drift aesthetic. To be honest, I don’t know about all that, but it sounds vicious, and the velocity stacks look amazing. Watch the clip to hear about the build and see it get all sideways out at Willow Springs.

What do you think about this build? Is it heresy to put some Japanese cues on a classic piece of American Iron? Head over to the Forum and let us know!
