Default Differences 1966 and 1967 Mustang

Hi, just had a quick question for the more knowledgeable. I've been looking at a 1966 or 1967 mustang, it has a new engine, transmission and interior and has lost its VIN plate over the years. The owner is not sure if its a 1966 or 1967 and I don't know enough about mustangs to tell myself. Just wanted to know, any tips for spotting the differences between the years visually? Either curves, badges, air dams or dimensions?

Much appreciated.

Look at the driver's side inner fender next to the shock tower under the hood for the VIN.

the biggest diff is the rear if its concave (indented) where the lights and gas is then its a 67...the 66 is just flat

almost EVERYTHING is different, all body panels, all chassis parts (except floor panels), even the suspension parts are different.

the 67's are a little wider than the 65-66's, the engine bay is also a little larger so you could drop a 351w in it and put all factory looking parts on it and not too many people would know the difference

Thanks for all the answers, the easiest thing I could spot from the answers you guys gave was that the 1966 had convex tailights, while the 1967 had concave tailights. Just need to verify with the seller as I can't remember off the top of my head which way they were, and it should be solved. Much appreciated!
