I swaped a rebuilt 2000 PI 5.4L. The Motor had 50,000 miles on it and was rebuilt. The motor now has less then 2000 miles on it. The motor was completely tore down, I sent the block, heads, pistons, rods, and crank to a machine shop. They cleaned the pistons and rods and they also checked for cracks.The crank is Forged and I had it polished, the heads have been resurfaced and hade a valve job. The heads also are gasket-matched and lightly ported and polished. The block was hot tanked, Magnafluxed, and glaze-honed. All new Fel-Pro gaskets were used. The 5.4L motor it gets about 18-19 MPG in city and about 20-21 MPG on the freeway. The body has 135,000 miles on it.

what kind of power did this setup make??

 

im not sure i have not dynoed it but it is powerfull. it will make a lot more in the higher RMPs with a shorter runner intake manifold.
