GT Fender emblem removal
I was wondering if ANYONE has removed the GT Fender emblem ?
IF SO, do you have pictures of the (clean) fender and/or the
backside of the emblem - someone told me there are 'studs' on the
backside of the emblem so I want to make sure I can 'cover'
the holes that would leave on the fender.
THANKS for any help !

Most people who have removed them (myself included) are replacing it with some other type of emblem so just leave the holes there and cover them with your new emblem. If you want nothing, then you have to weld and paint.

Can't answer that one cause mine came with the roush emblems. They had studs too but they're was no backing on them - they were held on by two-sided tape and the studs just slipped into the holes. Simply a matter of 'popping & peeling' them off. Not sure if the GT emblem is the same way...Someone please help him out.[sm=feedback.gif]

It is held on with 3M double side tape and to remove it you can do one of of a few things. You can either heat it with a hair dryer and slowly try to remove it. Or you can use Goo Gone and soak the backside of the emblem them slowly remove also get some heavy fishing line say 30lb test and you can get back behind the emblem with it and the Goo gone and simply slide it back begin it to cut the foam/tape. Then after that is done and the emblem is removed use the Goo Gone to remove any residue.
