Default ac delete

on my 87 5.0 I need to do the ac delete the current setup allready has the air pump deleted.. what belt do I need, and do I need an idler in place of the ac compressor to do the ac delete?

I just want to run the alt, p/s pump, water pump and crank.. and if I still need to use the tensioner just tell me how to route the belt, if I need a idler or what

you'll definently need the tensioner. I've had buddy's do this and they run into the problem of the tensioner pushing the belt into the water pump pully. I'ld consider getting the a/c delete kit. It should come with a ghost pulley. This will prevent that problem from occuring. Also, most kits come with a replacement belt. Good luck.

I forget who sells it but it just replaces the a/c compressor with a bracket and an alluminum pulley...
so you can use the same belt...

i used the FRPP a/c delete kit (~$40). anything custom is not worth the headache IMHO.

The kit he is talking about is the ford racing one. it moves your powersteering pump up where your A/C is so the belt easily clears the water pump. It is easy to install and is the best kit to get.
