a fox mustang is a 79-93 mustang or mercury capri. the a non mustang fox could be a ltd II, granada etc from the 80's. they were all the same underneeth it all.

the lx v8 mustang is a lightweight/ sometimes base model car. it does not have ground effects that the gt's have.

the gt was the premiere v8 (before the cobra). it was usally power everything, cruise, came with a small wing, and ground effects, fancy wheels, and ugly cheese grater taillights.

the 4 eye foxes are mustangs from 79-86 as they had 4 headlights. you either love them or hate them (im the latter). (post above me is a 4 eye)

87-93 mustangs had wrap around headlights, its a 6 peice kit, corners, headlights and markers.

in 1993 ford made 2 special mustangs, they were the cobra (street) or cobra-r (only sold to licenced racers who were in with ford). they have a different grill opening, lower nose opening, larger wing, shorter rear bumber cover, and smooth gt style side skirts ( the gt's said mustang gt the cobras said nothing) they used a more powerfull motor, only came with beefed up manuals, better suspention rates, and brakes (r version)

you will also see the term vert (convertable) hatch or hb (hatch back) or notch (notchback- has a trunk)

this is a 87-93 gt hatchback with a cobra nose on it

there was an American Cobra that was a decal and emblem package available from 1979 until 1981 (either a V8 or a 2.3L turbo), and the 4 eyes lasted until 1986. Also, any Canadian GT is also a Cobra

hmm... i knew all that but i was wondering if the Weight distribution would differ between the 4 eye(Lx's\ GT's) and the 87-93 (Lx's\GT's) .. but roughly 60/40 is eh not to well..

but this is change-able ..

right?

i mean the closer a car is to 50\50 the better traction is has..

50/50 will not give it better off the line traction, it WILL make it turn better. It will take a ton of money to get it to 55/45, your biggest issue is the 425 lump called a 302. The SVO had a weight distribution of 56.6/43.4, and was the best handling FOX. What body style is your car?

um, a 4 eye means there are 4 headlamps, you could get them in a notch, a hatchback and a convertible
