Default Car won't hold idle

Hey guys.. here's the story.

I have an 01 GT and all of a sudden yesterday it won't hold its idle. I can start the car no problem but as soon as the car starts, the car just dies. I can hold the gas pedal down and rev the engine and it won't die but the car can't idle. I was driving it the night before with no problems, it just happened to have this problem yesterday. My friend says it's the idle sensor but he's not the greatest car expert so i came here to ask you guys about it. Any ideas?

you think its the fuel pump? I don't think so because the car revs fine and seems to get enough fuel when it starts and when it revs. But i don't know.

its the IAC. same thing happened to me and i replaced mine and it started like new. you can clean the IAC but i would just buy a new one, theyre only like $40-$50 depending on where you go and its only like a 5 minute job at the most
