Default Which proportioning valve?

Soon I am going to be installing the Granada fornt disc swap onto my 68 coupe. I already have the spindles, rotors, calipers, and everything except the proportioning valve. I am going to the swap meet at National Trail Raceway near Columbus Ohio this weekend and the proportiong valve is on my list of things to look for. Is there any way to ID which proportioning valves I can use? I guess there are several that will work, such as the Granada, Mustang, Cougar etc. Is there a difference between a proportioning valve for power front discs vs. manual front discs? I dont want to shell out the cash for a new one if poosible. I know I can find them on ebay but I am hoping to pick one up this weekend.

Look for a Granada/Monarch prop valve. I guess just about any prop valve will work though. Even an aftermarket adjustable one will work.

Thanks Glen, I notice you dont have the wires hooked up to the sensor on the valve. What exactly is the sensor used for?

I'm guessing it would be for some sort of warning light.

Its for the brake failure warning light. If you lose proportionate pressure to the front or rear it will trigger that switch

Ideally, you should go for an ajustable valve. That will allow you to dial in the brake bias for your tires and suspension. Then you just need to worry about the distribution. Roll control works great for that....
