Y GO ROLLER? keep what you have, if the firing order is on 1 3 7 . . . . , u cant tell the difference. Plus FLAT TAPPETS ARE CHEAP/FREE AND SO ARE THE CAMS! $30 -80.

Assuming you are running a carb, the firing order makes no difference.

If going EFI, the cam MUST match the firing order of the EEC.

No. You just need to change the wiring on the injectors so it matches.
Don't expect this to work.
Folks have tried it and the fuel mixture gets all out of whack.

This is because... The computer adjusts the fuel by the bank, not by the injector.

The problem is that the injectors are on banks (right and left). All fuel adjustments are made on a per bank basis.
For example the computer may lean out the right bank injectors, after getting a rich signal from the right O2.
The computer does not make fuel adjustments on individual injectors.

If 1 of the injectors that should be on the right bank have now been moved to the left bank, the AFR will get totally hosed, because the Long Term Fuel Trims will do more harm than good. The car will run like crap.

I have heard from a couple of guys who have tried it, and the car does run, but not very well.
At least not well enough to prevent the purchase of the correct cam.
