HI, I'm not sure. Ford's out of that sunroof glass,you might want to check EBay for a used one.

Hi, I have a 1978 Mustang II with a factory sunroof. I'm looking for the felt gasket that fills in the gap between the glass and roof of the car. Will a later model(79-) seal/gasket work on my sunroof. Or, can you recommend something?
I know this thread is old, sorry. I found this by doing a google search.

As far as I know it won't fit,but I haven't tried it. Is it a late 78 ? Does the sunroof look like the 79-93 ?

They do look very much a like. The inside clamp and how the glass sits when closed look very similar.

I have a question and i don't know who else to ask for this.
I just bought a 1981 Mustang Ghia Hatchback 6L 200ci. But i have to replace the sunroof. Now my question is: Do ALL mustangs from 1979-1993 have the same sunroofs? If so i even can use a sunroof from a 1993 mustang to put in my 1981?

The sunroof glass is the same,however the latching mechanisms changed a little between different years.If you buy a later model one you may need to swap over your latch to it.

so the latchings are easely swapped? And what about the rubber bands around the glass and body? Are they the same?

The glass seals and also the glass to body seals are the same. Ease of removing the latches depends on how easy the bolts will loosen for you. PB Blaster might be your best friend on that one,but you might get lucky.
