Default I have a resonator question

I have a new 2015 Mustang EcoBoost Premium. I have installed two super 10 series Flowmaster mufflers and they sound great but I left the resonator on and I would like to know you all's opinion on whether I should take off the resonator for more sound. I know it's a four banger with a turbo but still would like some perspective.

resonators aren't mufflers. Removing them is not going to give you "more sound" in the way you seem to think they will. they're used to cancel a specific frequency of sound which is usually "drone" in an intake or exhaust system.

I'm on the coastal bend of Texas & want to see pictures of your pony. How is the torque down low? Are you enjoying the twisty's?

Low end torque on this car is phenomenal. If you didnt know it, youd never think there was a 4 banger in it. The new independent rear axel really makes cornering a breeze. I owned a 2012 Mustang v6 with the solid rear axel and it could corner but felt a bit sluggish. Throws down around 310 HP with 320ftlbs of torque. Really conservative manufacturer tune. With just a Cobb tune, it will gain around 70-80 lbs of torque and around 40-50 BHP. That puts in competition with the GT. Stock it blows away the v6. I have ran close to 13.9 in quarter mile stock. I havent pulled the trigger yet on the Cobb Tuner. Probably will in the near future.

Correction*** got a little carried away with numbers. Still around an 80lb torque gain but only about 10-15 HP gained in Stage one Cobb Tuning.

Removed my resonator, put a Y-pipe in along with MagnaFlow mufflers.

jesus christ dude, next time you take a video turn your phone on its side.

that aside, it actually sounds not bad. In my opinion, fours and sixes sound better with a mellow exhaust.

That is amazing. Curious how safe some of these tunes are. Thinking the stock tune is tame mostly to save on gas though. Will be interesting to see how people's cars hold up with these kind of gains though.

Can you tell me if you felt more power after the mods on the exhaust? Did you do it all at one time? I have a well known muffler shop that is telling me to leave the resonator alone and just cut off the mufflers and replace with straight pipes. I think it may be too loud but I don't know. I was thinking of replacing the resonator with a Y pipe and leaving the stock mufflers alone. I'm hoping to get a better lower and a little louder sound out of it and maybe a little bit more horsepower.
