I use putty knives and 2" tape but that's me. Lot faster.
A 1.5" will go between the 2 studs, where the line can't go.
To remove the excess, I use a rubber wheel mounted on a drill...
Very efficient and fast (available at bodyshop suppliers).
A little goo off will take any residue off.

Seems like a major pain in the *********. I will try and get a quote from a body shop and see what they will charge to remove the hideousness that is my rear wing. If the price is right, well then I'll be coming on down. If its too high I'll go get a six pack, break out the fishing line, buy some touch up paint and plugs. You know i do not know whats worse, the rear negative down force producing wing, or the huge gaping hood scope that lets air into nothing. That is another thread in itself.

Ok, I tried doing this today and I still have a thick residue on the decklid, tried goo gone, tried heat, no good. I'm gonna try WD-40 tomorrow.

Here, this what you need...
Mount it on a drill.

It won't if you don't go over 4000rpm.
And you don't wanna push hard on it anyway...
Here's a link...http://www.tcpglobal.com/autobodydep...temno=AST+400E
Called the "Astro smart remover".

Edit: I meant "smart Eraser" not remover.
