Default Should I paint my A47 Mirrors?

It's been too cold to install them, so they've been laying around.
Been toying with the idea of painting them black since i waited this long already.
Trying to get some feedback from actual owners if I should.
Car is black, so don't know if it will be with the time and money to have them done.

What do you think?
Any black s197 owners that had these painted?

Most of the posts I read from the black mustangs DON'T paint them. I say paint them so the shine matches the rest of the car, not staying flat. Of course paint the whole mirror, not two-tone like some do (leaving the base, painting only the mirror housing). My two cents.

I'd paint them.
And yes, I'd 2 toned them

The base has ridges left over from the mold that look ugly when painted, unless you smooth them out. PITA and costly though.

Did you paint them yourself or have them done? If so, how did you paint them?
I like the look you created.

Pascal recommended that to me and it's what I plan to do a good way to stand out with a part that already looks amazing!

Yeah I did...
I own a shop, that should answer both your questions

I'm not the only one that does that.
Other folks have painted theirs as well.
Someone has a torch red with the mirror cup painted only. It looks great...

It's been about 50/50 for the customers of our that we have asked.

They look better than the stock mirrors either way for sure!

I have 6 sets here at the shop ready to ship!

i left mine unpainted because the flat black compliments my white and flat black theme well

on a black car, i would paint at least the cup

On a black car, I think they would look better painted. Whether or not you pain them depends on the color scheme you are going with. Personally, I like them painted on most cars. If I get these, I would go with just the mirror buckets being painted.
