That Welt Stuff.

I'm a stickler for colors matching, and the electric blue was to light and the others were either too dark or the wrong tint. I'm just really picky about those kinda things I guess, it would bother me to open my door and be able to see two different colors. But if it doesn't bother you I say go for it, it would be a lot simpler.

Old thread, I know, but I can't decide on a color. I have an all black interior and am going back and forth with white or red welt for the doors. I have red LED dome lights and painted my calipers red so I thought red might give it some character but I feel like it might look outta place...
Any ideas?

I have Welts too and ended up painting mine to match the Vista Blue. I did it about two years ago and it is still holding up despite have the windows rolled up in the summer time.

See with mine being Blue, I keep the MyColor on blue most of the time plus I have a graphic Mustang script in blue on the dash.

Yeah true I might do that. I really like the Roush seat belt pads that Moss sells, which are black and red, so that might work.

Well, I decided to go ahead and order some. That turned out to be a terrible idea.
I can't get it to stay in the ridge on the door no matter what. I was originally under the impression that it will stick if you just push it in there, nope. So then I tried to super glue it in, which was hopeless as well, even after using the prep pad and blowing the heater on it.
Oh well, live and learn

Alec, that's strange that it wouldn't stay. Maybe they sent you a strip that is bigger?
You know, I just remembered, you may have to trim the part that goes into the crease. Don't trim too much off, just a little so it will sit flush.
I'll have to find the thread when I first installed them. You shouldn't have to use glue. Mine have been in since 2007 with no problem.

OK, used the search for this forum and read some post from a few years ago. If you don't have the IUP (Interior Upgrade Package) you will have to go a different route. A member on here did it.
