Default Help deciding on a hood scoop

I need some help deciding on a hood scoop to buy, I have been looking into the Roush hood scoop but I am not sure if I really like he way it looks. A buddy of mine had a nice hood scoop on his GT/CS and it was added on at the dealer but he no longer has the car and didn't remember the name of it. I have some pictures of his car, not very good though to see if anyone can identify it. I am up to all suggestions. I know I am going to have to do some research on it because my car also has stripes on it and I am not sure if he hood scoop will even fit between them, not a big issue because I am planning on removing them and having them painted on, I am not a big fan of vinyl. Thank you. OK the website is not allowing me to add picutes, PM me and I will mail it too anyone who might want to help identify it.

the gt/cs mustangs came with ford's factory hood scoop (so unless your friend put an aftermarket one on, that what it was). some other companies that have scoops are roush (as you mentioned, and is my first pick expense-wise), cervini, 3dcarbon, xenon, and (probably everyone's favorite) classic design concept's 'shaker' scoop. there are probably others, but these are the ones i can think of.

ford:

roush:

cervini:

3dcarbon:

xenon:

cdc's shaker:

Hi Xeno, Thanks for all the different pictures, the more I look at the picture of my friends car he more I think it is a Roush hood scoop. After looking at the pictures you sent I tend to like the Ford hood scoop, might be too wide for my stripes, so I will probably have to remove them for now until I decide to have them painted on. Thank you.

i think the ford scoop is the narrowest (and smallest) of them all; so unless you have like, 4 inch racing stripes, you shouldn't have a problem (it does look big in that pic, though)

here's a couple with the ford scoop and 12 inch racing stripes:

and a couple with a superstripe:

(ford scoop, but wider looking superstripe)

(i don't think it's a ford scoop, but normal width-looking superstripe)
