This thread was very helpful. I ended up doing this only with white LEDs. Looks great. I didn't use a screwdriver to get the housing off though. I just pulled. I was afraid the screwdriver might leave a mark.

They look too long, plus they're from China so if they don't you'll spend more to send them back than they cost.

Like these:

We have a big selection of these bulbs for the mustang, I have them in my 2007 GT.

Several colors available too

Here is a link to our Mustang replacement lighting: http://www.diodedynamics.com/store/l...1/mustang.html

Sure, you can find them cheaper on eBay, that's no secret. But the common eBay bulb has a much higher failure rate and doesn't come with our fantastic customer service. Plus, if you ever need help you can always PM me!

Thanks,
Nick C.

Default Replaced LED lights couldnt be happier

Thanks for the advice it was exactly how you said, I was lucky enough the led's I bought were small enough that i didn't have to pop the front lens cover off.

Just did this tonight. I was going to post some pictures but mine are blue and people already have posted those. First off I got mine from the diode dynamics link posted above. They seemed to have the easiest to figure out website of the ones linked so far. They shipped fast and had good packaging. You could probably find them cheaper somewhere else but they were convenient and ill probably order from them again(trunk and license plate are next). I had some tips I wanted to share for people that struggle with this as it too a while to figure it out. First the lenses do pop off very easily with a thin flathead. You have almost no issues with breaking them. Problem is as far as I can see its impossible to get the bulbs out without pulling the whole housing down. The clips are a pita to get undone. The sockets for the lights are in pretty tight so I had to use pliers. Grab them by the smaller sides and twist to one side and the clips holding them in should pop out. Make sure you test the lights out before you put it all back together as you could have them in backwards.
