This is really trivial, but I was wondering if anyone had a good idea for a place to set your cell phone while you drive. In my 06 I used to set it in a cup holder or on the shift boot, but now that I have an 08 that is not on lease I have been doing some interior mods including the SHR cup holder bezel, and this car has the aluminum trim around the shift boot so that is not an option any longer.

I have one of those sleaves that clips to your belt. I put my phone in there and attach it to the sun visor. it has a clear front so when it goes off the light and sound catches my eyes/ ears. I kept it in the cup holders before but it was a pain because i couldnt hear it or other stuff would be in the cup holders.

I have used two small squares of velcro, one on the back of the phone and the other stuck somewhere conveniant like the center of the steering wheel or wherever.

You can get these little pads from autozone that you set on your dash or wherever you want and set things on them like your phone. Its special material to keep it from moving / sliding around. I think it was like $6.
