My passenger side had been loose in the middle for a while...then the edges started coming out. now it has flopped all the way down...the drivers side is loose in the middle....time for this fix. I remembered reading it for the 1st time.....a long time ago.

Easy peasy fix, make sure you clear all the loose backing from the panel, 2 coats of weldwood per the instructions, seat the leather firmly with a seam roller or something like that. Tuck the edges in with the tip of a flat head screwdriver. Follow the OP's instructions to the letter and you won't have a problem.

Actually I'm not going to use the weldwood contact cement. I'm going to mask the door panel more and use 3M 38808 Fabric and Headliner Adhesive

I'm sure they are both "Contact cement". But the 3M will not discolor the fabric, not that that would be a problem with the task at hand. But the simplicity of 'Spraying" a even coat of glue pushes me toward using this product.......+ It's known that 3M makes very good products and this product is especially designed for the task at hand.

Can you confirm this *fix* lasted long? How is your door panels now? I'm hearing from some guys who did this fix and it was only a temporary fix (few weeks to few months).

Was the leather only installed in cars with leather seats? If so, can someone show me a picture of what was installed with cloth seats? can that part still be purchased?

I used the 3M that is recommended in many videos and instructionals. I applied this just at a year ago, probably a month and a half after your post, and it has already fallen down again. Has yours?
