Default 05-09 front end conversion to 2010

Has anyone ever done or thought about putting the new front of the 2010 Mustang onto the previous model? I really like the front end of the new model but not a huge fan of the back. Would it entail just the front end with heavy modification? Or would you also have to do the hood, fenders, etc?

You mean including that black plastic crap? If you do, PLEASE get it painted to match the rest of the car. Hideous...

Well it was more of a general question but I agree, I would get it painted.

I think I've seen one or two other people inquire about this same very thing, but didn't turn up much....me personally, since the bodies are completely different (as well as the body panels), I'm not sure it can be done...

It would be way too costly to do since you will have to match the new body lines of the 2010 and that would be a ton of body work to do....

If you like the look why not do the GT500 front end conversion? A 2010 conversion would probably take a lot of work to fit right and it may not necessarily turn out like you thought it would once you get it on there. Anyone see the pics of the New Edge's with the S197 conversions? lol

You will need the 010 fenders to make it work, but they won't line up with the body lines of the door, so they would have to be heavily modified. Very costly when done right.

But then, the while point is moot because the wheel arch of the 09 quarters won't match the one of the 010 fenders...

Yeah I figured it would turn up to be costly. I never thought about a GT500 conversion. I do love the front end's.

I think the front end of the 2010 was inspired by the GT500. Too bad Ford didn't get better inspiration for the tail lights.
