So me and a friend decided to wake up early and go get our car windows tinted. I was up first..and I decided to go with 15%. A little dark..but I absolutely love it. I also got the turning signal/running lights tinted. Overall..the car looks amazing. Ill get pics up here asap..rained all day today. While waiting for his car (09 Eclipse GT) to get done..i decided to go home for a sec. turns out my SLP LM,s came in..so I went ahead and put those on to. I fell in love with the car all over again. pics asap.

I have 15% tint also. It might seem dark at first if you live in rural areas, but you'll get used to it

try 5% . lol now that's dark

nice on the LM's. u'll have ppl tell u all the time that the car sounds awsome. good invstment.

Red, did you put in moleskin or the 08+ door weatherstrip to prevent the tint from scratching and/or streaking?

I dont have mine tinted as of yet, but from what I understand the weatherstripping in the 05-07 stangs have hard rubber which is rough on the windows and can cause fine, unsightly scratches in the tint. In 08 they added a soft strip to the weather strips to make the sliding of the windows smoother and prevents scratches on the windows.

There is a thread on here somewhere that lists the ford website to order the replacement strips from. The part #s are:

Right: 8r3z6321456a
Left: 8r3z6321457a

You can also go the moleskin route. Its a little more involved process, but its the cheaper option. http://www.tintprotector.com/ford/index.htm

Its a must if you dont want to replace your tint in a year. The tint store I was at replaced it for me when I had my tint done

Yeah I'd get the moleskin if you're in an 05. I think 08+ are the only ones that have it from the factory.

Anyway, congrats on the new mods! A new exhaust is always fun and tinting is definitely the way to go
