Default Will a 2010 steering wheel fit '05-09???

Just curious to know if a 2010 steering wheel would fit the 2007 model. If anyone has actually done it, pictures would be appreciated.

Yes it will fit. You can use my "how to" thread for remove your wheel and putting the new one on. The only thing that won't work on the 2010 wheel is the stereo controls and you "may" have to modify the cruse control connector to fit yours but I do not think so. But I know for sure that I saw this mod done on another forum.

Here is a pic

I just want the damn red steering wheel cover lol.
Don't see that at the ford site.

Don't want an aftermarket because it covers up some of the chrome arm and does't look stock. You can tell it is a slip-on.
Even with wheelskins.

What's the point if the buttons don't work?

That's not a pic of my car. You can order a 2010 steering wheel from any Ford dealership. And "yes" you can reuse your airbag on the 2010 steering wheel or you can order a 2010 one from Ford or on Ebay.

Here is how you go about hooking up the wire from the new one to the old one. (copied from other forum)

Cruise Control Splicing:
Old Connector >>> New Harness:
white >>> gray
blue >>> brown
red >>> red (pwr)
green >>> black (gnd)

The resistance between the new harness gray and brown wires is as follows as each button is pushed:
OFF = 0 ohms
ON = 1500 ohms
RESUME = 1000 ohms
SET (-) = 300 ohms
SET (+) = 600 ohms

Music Controls: (I don't have these working yet; however, this is the resistance between the new harness green and purple wires as each button is pushed)
Music Icon = 510 ohms
VOL (-) = 50 ohms
VOL (+) = 120 ohms
|<< = 335 ohms
>>| = 210 ohms

Phone Controls: (I don't have these working yet; however, this is the resistance between the new harness yellow and blue wires as each button is pushed)
Speaker Icon = 50 ohms
OK = 335 ohms
Phone Icon = 510 ohms

There is a 2nd connector receptacle on the Steering wheel hub that may come in handy for the music and phone control wiring. Standby as I look further into this.
