I agree, I know that this was done quite a bit before (on the old mustangs), I just don't think they flow well on the new cars....just my .02, that being said, your car is awesome!

thanks, guys.

i can definitely see your point, vader, and i pretty much agree, but i'm gonna leave em on for a minute just because they're kinda fun.

i have a dash pod floatin around in the garage somewhere. i'll be using that for my real gauge setup.

It reeally kills the look of your car, which I consider to be one of the more "recognized" vehicles on MF (so that = bad IMO). From the outside someone might assume its a video recording setup.. I just think its distracting from the car--there's got to be somewhere on the inside that you would want to mount those!

thanks, fred. you're right, it is distracting, but all in good fun (see my last post above).

Exterior gauges sort of cool on true street/strip cars... the way you mounted them is not "clean enough" for your car. Sort of looks cobbled together, and sit too high. Part of it is because most "hood" mounted gauges are actually mounted to the cowl. Although I do have to admit I'd love a 69/0 style hood tach.

I do have to say, I like how you try things outside the box AND accept when they don't work and reverse them when they don't work out (like the headlight thing)
