LOL. I was thinking of the same thing two days ago. I've been tempted as well, but those expensive flush mounted ones look so great. Damn economy!

I've had mine on for almost 3 years and 30,000 miles with frequent runs up to and over 120 MPH. But it alldepends on the surface prep and following the guidelines but here's a summary:
  1. Do NOT use typical 70% isopropyl alcohol. Use either 95% or better OR a solvent made for surface prep (available at most auto parts stores)
  2. surface AND ambient temps during application should ideally be in the 65 deg F to 80 deg. F range.
  3. Do NOT drive the vehicle for 24 hours after application and, if possible, maintain the temps as close to those at installation AND away from rain or any other moisture.
  4. If you accidently attach incorrectly and manage to pull the tape from the surface, reapplication with that same tape will be suspect so be sure to GET IT RIGHT THE FIRST TIME. Otherwise, replace the tape and start over. The method for putting new tape on the louver is the same as mentioned above.

I'd be sure to use a good stripper. I'm not sure if the adhesive promoter is they provide is simply a stirpper but I'd use a stripper and then their promoter.
