Default Opinion Thread: BOSS style stripes on a S197? --> with pictures

This is something I have been going back and forth on for a long time. To put it simply, I am a big fan of the 1970 boss side stripes; the style not the lettering. Because of this, I am considering using the side stripes WITHOUT the lettering. My question is simple: As a Mustang owner or enthusiast, what do you think about using the stripes on a S197?

If you're not familiar with them: they were used on the 1970 BOSS 302, BOSS Trans-Am race cars driven by Parnelli Jones and George Follmer, a few FR500 Grand Am race cars, the Parnelli Jones edition by Saleen, and most recently the current BOSS 302R (which is really for the 10+ guys).

Thanks for the votes and/or replies. The poll will run for one week before I make a decision. BTW, if you've already put these stripes on your own car, feel free to post pictures of them also.

i say go with the stripes, but maybe not the "Boss" lettering?
Instead of boss maybe put something else?

Yeah, like I said before- no BOSS lettering. I may not use any letters there at all because FORD seems redundant, and MUSTANG seems a bit long for the space.

Another design, same idea though.

What about "GT" or "281"?

Or, stay true to the "Boss 302" Style lettering, but put in "GT 281". Or bore and stroke to 302 cu and then you could put 302.

Yes, GRH is my company. Never really considered putting that on the car, as it's not really a household name like Roush or Shelby. 281 would work, as I a stroker kit to 302 isn't going to work right now. I wonder how a stretched GT would look.

That last pic of the dynetek stripe is only interesting where it goes down to the side, where the indentation is- I don't like how it runs over the run either.

that is true, thought maybe like get the company name out there. May look good. 281 would look good too. Not sure how a stretched GT would look.
