Looks good though! I have given though to painting my throttle body, but I have wondered if that makes it hold in heat more. I would like to polish it, but I'm not sure on how to do that since it has such a rough cast finish.

An air-powered right-angle or a straight tool w/ woven abrasive pads will transform rough-cast to smooooth metal in short order.

Aluminum is a terrific metal!

Bare polished aluminum looks better than chrome. It needs constant polishing to remain nice.

I like to paint w/ Pettit metal prep, then Pettit 4700/4701 epoxy, then Rustoleum Professional. I give a light sand after the first coat of epoxy, so it looks like glossy plastic when done.

One of the problems is there are a lot of nooks and crannies on the TB that would be hard to get into, even with a dremel there are some pretty tight spots.

I originally wanted red valve covers but when I needed them I couldn't get them no one had any red powdercoat in-stock so I have the black wrinkle that matches the Saleen pretty good, maybe someday when I can find a set of stockers.

My TB will either end up painted or polished, though I don't think I'd go red, need something else in between I'd just paint it silver or black.
