Default Gimp Mockup

In a few months, I'll be redoing my stripes, adding a chin spoiler and installing the faux brake-ducts (that I made myself) I'm going to wait until it gets warmer, because working with vinyl is a beach even in a heated garage if it's not warm enough.

I've decided to go with a wide-single stripe (24") made of di-noc carbon fiber vinyl. This will be shadowed with a 1" red pinstripe on either side.

The pic below just shows a gimp-mockup including the faux brake-ducts in the lower stock grille. They look MUCH better in life, but the pic gives you the idea on how it improves the look of the stock bumper. It only cost me about $10 to make them.

Anyway, here is a quick Gimp of what it should look like (more or less) when done.

Yeah, I've been debating going back to a black grille ever since I decided to go with carbon fiber stripes.

The satin-finish mesh I have now looks good with the rally stripes because of the 2" of silver between the stripes... but with a solid stripe I think that a black grille might be in order.

For starters, I'll probably just pain the mesh grille I currently have.

None of this is going to happen until around April though. I still need to vector the exact measurements for all my stripes and the lettering cutouts. I might put my faux brake ducts on that I made in a week or so though since it doesn't hinder any of the other things I'm doing.

I like your choice of carbon fiber stripes, but I don't know how I feel about the red accent stripes. It's your car and it'll look cool either way

Shhh, don't tell anyone, but the car in my mockup isn't even mine. LOL I used a pic of a Silver GT with a chin spoiler right off of this site... some dudes garage pic... then I gimped on my mesh grille, my hood-scoop, tinted the lights ect... (notice no hood pins or mirror caps )

*That's why the background is taken out... gotta show at least a little respect by not having "MY" car parked in "HIS" driveway... LOL

I like it! Extending the stripe down the bumper and front chin spoiler makes a huge difference in appearance.
Smoke tinting your front blinker lights would look good too.
Look forward to seeing the finished product!

The red accent is what really makes the whole thing "pop"
