yukonblizzard, I've said it before I'll say it again KEEP the friggin cobra. While I'm not a fan of cobra's or really any kind of snakes, I like it on your car. It fits. Not telling you what to do with your car. Just trying to give a forceful suggestion. LOL
Alright I'll keep it! You are right, it should not bother me what other people think.

Quoted for truth.
Everyone has their own opinion on this issue. Personally, the "clone" or "tribute" car appeals to me, although I always see people getting on and bashing slapping the cobras on. But the bottom line remains the same:
Your money. Your time. Your car. Your choice.
When I complete my tribute, I can guarantee you that the last thing crossing my mind will be whether someone's looking at it thinking "Oh Em Gee that's totally a GT. What a sacrilege!" Hitting the gas gives me an even more amount of satisfaction due to the blood, sweat, and beers I've put into my project, so there's no need to worry about it.
In the end, it is your own choice. I'm sure that there is someone out there that mocks the tribute/cloner's, but still ends up buying a $30 pair of jeans that looks like some of the $100 pairs out there because it's a close thing.
