I would go for the steering wheel and shifter, I think it would tie together quite nicely. Now that all the chrome and satin (aside from wheel and shifter) is gone, those two items seem to stand out to much.

The vents actually just pull out. Stick your thumbs inside the vents, grab the trim ring with your other fingers and pull straight forward. The rest of the disassembly (trim ring and vent flaps) all come apart easily when you have the vent out.

I see what you see...if the metallic pieces on the steering wheel and the shifter can be painted like the other pieces...you'll have a perfectly matched interior!!!

I really like the vents painted. I think I might do that to mine someday. That plasti-chrome looks cheap IMO
