Default Polished up My Pony - 1st time

Washed with Dawn, washed with Zaino car wash, clay barred, washed again, Zaino Z5 2 times with a Gloss enhancer in between, then a coat of Zaino Z2...not perfect, but waaaay better....finish feels like GLASS!...still has some swirls, but my arms are tired....

Looks good - and I'm betting he did mean Dawn dish detergent. It takes the old wax off before using the clay bar. As long as he was planning a full clean up like this no reason not to use the Dawn.

I wouldn't use it though if there wasn't a plan to clay bar, polish, and wax afterwards.

I DID mean Dawn and it is what you are supposed to do to get rid of all the old "stuff" befroe you clay...the hihg alkaline content breaks down and through the old wax and whatever else was on there...it was in the instruction for the product I was using...NEVER for just a wash...but ok for what I did afterward.

And thanks....

Gotcha. That makes sense in that context.

Yes, you use dawn to strip off the current layer of wax. That way, you get close to bare paint before you claybar (which lets the claybar do it's job better).

Looks **** good
