My new GT500 hood, it wasn't BS.
A couple days ago I started a thread about a Craigslist ad offering to swap out your existing/stock hood for an OEM GT 500 hood. Of course I and others were skeptical. Here is the thread:

So I woke up this morning and decided to make the drive and I am sooooo happy I did. The place was a junkyard and I was a little worried about a bait and switch or something else shady. The guy pulled out the hood, I saw the Ford sticker and part number and said let's do it. 10 minutes later he closed the new hood and I just began to grin! I was a little concerned with the gap between the new hood and the grill before I went, from the photos I had seen. But now that it is on, I could care less. Let me state this one more time, I am soooooo happy. If you are in CA, NV, or even AZ call and see if they have your color and make the trip.(If you like this style hood) So total cost 6 hours driving, $60 gas, $20 for food, and $10 tip to the guy that put it on. So $90 for the new hood! Enough talk, here are the photos:
