Default Homemade Splitter

Hey guys
I was searching the internet today and found and interesting forum where this guy had actually made a "homemade" front splitter. it looks very nice to me. I would very, very, very much so like a front splitter on mine. Here is the problem, I have a 3D Carbon front air dam. So nooooooo body is ganna have one for it
Thats where u guys come in. The guy that made the splitter out of 1/2 inch burch. Made the design and put in on. I am going to start this project and see where it goes. He used wood, should i use plastic? Where could I get some plastic to just cut like that? Thanks guys.
This should be a fun project.

The top splitter below is made from Sintra a PVC foam board. Worked fine not super strong but I made it so the sheet went all the way back to the radiator support works better that way and is stronger.

The next one is hand laid carbon fiber with a foam and aluminum core. This one weighs more but is many times stronger and I could make it bigger.

Sintra is available from most plastic dealers and sign shops.

The materials for the carbon spoiler are available lots of places but I don't really advise you to go that way at least not till you have a lot more experience. I have been fabricating stuff in most materials for years carbon as well. Just the materials costs hundreds of dollars to say nothing of the facilities required.
